last day comment archive 17.04.2006, 00:38 E.D. Also...why Mumm-Ra never made an effort to destroy the new Thundercats (Lynx-o, Bengali and Pumyra cause they were Thundercats too). And who and why did they rebuild the Tower of Omens after it was destroyed since the Lunatacs were exiled? They should have left it destroyed so Tygra could have went back to New Thundera and let Pumyra stay on Third Earth. 01.05.2006, 22:35 Shay Leona And of course Mr. "Over the Top" Overgard himself ended up writing the last episode. Go figure. 29.06.2006, 18:02 Prokopis As punishment for failing to vanquish the ThunderCats even with such ridiculously boosted powers, the ASoE banish Mumm-Ra and his portable pyramid shack into a diamond-shaped, rotating type of prison that anyone familiar with the second Superman movie (1980) should immediately recognize it as the long lost twin of the Phantom Zone - that's where general Zod was imprisoned for his crimes by Jor-El. Heh, so much for the fountain of originality that was supposed to be Bill Overgard... I can just picture mummy and general alike passing the time there playing checkers and shaking fists in the air every now and then at the cause of their respective incarcerations. 17.03.2007, 19:30 leppardra Frankly, I'm glad the series didn't end with this story, as good as it was. With 20 more episodes, we get to see New Thundera. And that's how it should be. The Cats talked about Old Thundera so much that it won't have made sense to end the series without seeing the now-reformed planet where the Cats originally came from. As for the Ancient Spirits of Evil sending Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt to New Thundera to continue pestering the Cats, well, hey, Mumm-Ra and the Spirits deserve each other. But, even though the Cats went home, Third Earth is not a trouble-free paradise. If it was, the League of Third Earth wouldn't have been formed. 10.08.2007, 13:00 Cougar OH, HELL YEAH!!! Now, this is what I'm talking about! This ep right here is DEFINITELY in my personal T'Cats Top Ten! I gotta wonder, though: When Lion-O first told Mumm-Ra that the sun was setting and Mumm-Ra turned around, would it not make sense for Lion-O to blast Mumm-Ra while his attention was diverted? Then again, perhaps there was a method to Lion-O's madness; after all, he did rely on his cunning, mind power and speed (as he learned in the Anointment Trials). Also, when the ASOE told Mumm-Ra to destroy ALL the ThunderCats, that includes Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Bengali as well. Even though they had just left New Thundera, they still don the symbols proudly. You have to wonder if the ASOE knew that Mumm-Ra would fail yet again. Nevertheless, this is a great episode: THUNDERCATS, HO!!! 25.01.2008, 01:58 ThunderCatsX Hey all, I don't know what inspired me to glance over this way, but I just want to apologize for my TERRIBLE writing. Back then it seemed alright, but now it just looks hideous and amateur. As for "The Last Day", it's still one of my favorite episodes, and I still think it should've been the series finale, it's just got the perfect amount of satisfying resolution to it.
