Thundercubs Part 1 coomment archive Average Fan Rating = 4 out of 5 stars Amurrra USA 3:32pm on Thursday, July 22nd, 2010 Hang on a second, how could Jaga have aged so quickly in the space of a decade or so? He's relatively young when Lion-O is a baby, and then when Lion-O is in his preteens he's too old to make the space journey in a time capsule? 17.04.2006, 00:22 E.D. That Two Cents Is HILLARIOUS...!!! 10.02.2007, 16:34 leppardra Peter Lawrence is to be thanked for injecting new blood into the ThunderCat saga. This 5-parter is an enjoyable one. Frankly, fireball destruction of that world aside, I like the idea of Old Thundera reforming to become New Thundera. You have to wonder, though, how Jaga, fleeing from the destruction and later observing it from the bridge of the ThunderCats' royal flagship, felt knowing that, by throwing the Sword of Plun-Darr into the chasm of molten lava, he was the actual cause of his native planet's extinction. He must have felt like the worst murderer in the universe! 21.02.2007, 13:04 leppardra But there are things in this installment to enjoy. The battle sequence between Jaga and Ratillo is great! This episode is the first time we see Mumm-Ra's space vehicle, which later dubbed the Mumm-Raft. The part where Lion-O and Panthro chase Mumm-Ra's hologram, nearly drown, and then escape is quite good. As is Panthro's apology to the others and Lion-O's "Hey, forget it, Panthro old buddy." Pay close attention to the very next scene: Lion-O takes the remorseful Panthro's hands in his in a gesture of support and forgiveness. But, of course, this is seen at a distance. Mustn't give the little ones the wrong impression, huh?
