You're a writer, and as such you're allowed to write "ThunderCats" the way you want to. Lion-O, Cheetara, and Tygra's childhood days were done well here. Whether or not you'll continue to write "The New King" is entirely up to you.

Very well done on this chapter with the Lion-O/Cheetara dynamic. We've seen some romantic gestures between the two, but only because Cheetara is willing Lion-O to be the true Lord of the ThunderCats.

I read "The New King" on FanFiction.net, and I'm pleased to see that it's made it to ThunderCatsFans.org. This first chapter is amazing and captures well Lion-O's personality from the new "ThunderCats" show.
